Open Arms Health Care, LLC, is a family-owned and operated home care agency that provides superior support to Western Pennsylvania’s Intellectually and Developmentally Disabled community members. OAHC offers companion and in-home and community support to individuals who reside in their own homes or with their loved ones. OAHC then provides Licensed Residential Services to those who want to maintain their independence while they let Open Arms manage their overall care; residents can move into one of OAHC’s eleven meticulously maintained sites where they can start the next chapter of their life. These single-family homes are suited for one person or two people, depending on client needs, and are staffed 24-hours a day. These services are made possible by the Consolidated, P/FDS, and Community Living Waivers, all of which OAHC is authorized to accept.
Staff members become care experts after they complete the agency’s rigorous training curriculum and review each client’s Individual Support Plan, SEE Plan, Risk Factors, and comprehensive assessments. They then apply that knowledge when they accompany their client to a group activity, provide personal care, administer medications, supervise and monitor outings, and participate in doctor appointments.
Whether the individual is 18 years old and is transitioning into adulthood, or the client is 60 years old and needs help managing everyday life, OAHC can be of assistance. These services are available to individuals with some of the most challenging behavioral needs as well; OAHC has successfully supported clients who have extensive legal and psychiatric histories. It’s amazing to see what can be done when a company is caring, compassionate, and consistent. That is the Open Arms way. We look forward to having your family become our family.
